Fried Green Onions


3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup water
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
20 green onions, cut into five-inch lengths
Vegetable oil

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; stir well. Gradually add water to flour mixture, stirring until smooth. Stir in sesame seeds.

Dip onions in batter and fry in deep oil heated to 375. Fry until golden, turning once. Drain well on paper towels. Serve warm.
